(at the Atlanta Center for Puppetry Arts)
We put them together with brads and glue
to make them do what we want them to do.
They don’t pry, they don’t give us flak,
they never talk behind our back.
They don’t annoy us or pan our choices;
they share our views, they share our voices.
Flawless friends, you can’t mistake them.
In order to have them, we had to make them.
