Wanderlust in Boston

Wanderlust? What in blazes could that be? Well, the only way to find out is get up at 5:00 a.m. and catch a train into Boston. (Unless you happen to be near one of the other cities all over the world where the event is held. ) So we did just that.

Wanderlust is a triathlon, but a very unusual one. The first part of the event consists of a 5k run, which is not so unusual. But the other two parts consist of yoga and meditation. And all around there are booths of various vendors giving out free samples of their wares. These included food and beverage, and many other items. At one booth, we each had custom bath salts mixed to our specifications. (We’ll have to wait until later to try them out, though.)

Then, after going out for lunch and touring one of Boston’s attractions (the “bones and bells” tour at King’s Church), we caught a train back to Attleboro, exhausted but invigorated.
